For more than 21 years, Petites-Mains has been offering programs to help people in need – mostly unemployed immigrant women and single-parents – regain control of their future, find a job and integrate into Quebec’s society.
To this day, thousands of women have found their place in Quebec with Petites-Mains, thanks to an average placement rate of 80% in most of their socio-professional programs.
In order to keep up with the ever growing demand of those in need, and to keep offering trainings and services, we decided to launch our first major fundraiser. With your help, we can continue helping new Québécois and future citizens. Encourage philanthropy for the benefit of women. Donate generously!
I WANT TO HELP! WHERE CAN I DONATE?
Fundraising goal for 2017-2020 : $900 000
WHAT YOUR DONATIONS WILL ACHIEVE
Welcome 50 children per year, as well as accompany their mothers.
Build a childcare center (CPE) for the children of Petites-Mains’ participants. This will facilitate the mothers’ course at Petites-Mains, help contribute to the childrens socio-emotional development, as well as prepare for their cultural integration in school.
Support the insertion of 140 women, and more than 300 learning French
Invest in professional equipment, reflecting the current job market standards, and help us to open more spots to receive more women in our training programmes. Modernize class rooms in order to offer a better service when it comes to French classes, an essential tool to integration.
Accompany 600 women wanting to start their insertion in Quebec’s society
Add more specialized community workers to our team, thereby helping participants with psychological support and improving their integration. This will also allow us to welcome more women in our socio-professional programs, since many of them are currently waiting for a place at Petites-Mains or elsewhere. These new human resources will help us offer to women entering Petites-Mains a better personal experience, whether it be with their integration or any other aspect of their journey towards a better future.
